Cyrus Chestnut Trio

This past Thursday night was another night I will not soon forget. WBGO and Yamaha teamed up again for another block buster event - this time featuring the amazing Cyrus Chestnut Trio: Cyrus Chestnut, Piano; Buster Williams, bass; and Victor Lewis, drums. These events, tailor made for WBGO donors, are truly remarkable. The artists hang out and chat with the donors both before and after the set, swap stories and make incredible music in a very intimate setting. 

This time was particularly special for me as I was able to sit in on the sound check, chat with the guys and get to know them a bit. They were some of most down to earth, warm and jovial guys you could ever hope to meet - and they welcomed me as part of the family. 

I know I say this a lot, but man, I love what I do.
