Power Trio at Birdland

Tuesday night found me at legendary Birdland Jazz Club photographing the very aptly named Power Trio. David Murray on saxophone and bass clarinet, Geri Allen on piano, and Terri Lyne Carrington on drums - a power trio for sure! They did not disappoint, either. If you aren’t familiar with any of them, do yourself a favor and go have a listen. The creativity, spontaneity and power of their performance was mind blowing! Nights like that - in a legendary club with legendary musicians remind me just how fortunate I am to do what I do.
