Student Side-by-Side - Pittsburgh Symphony

As I mentioned in my previous post, I recently had the great pleasure of working with my friends in the Pittsburgh Symphony’s Education and Community Engagement department to document two of their longest running and most successful programs.

The musicians of the Pittsburgh Symphony are truly a special group. They spend countless hours each year working with people all across the region, from infants all the way up to the elderly, helping spread the love and joy of music. Every year, they bring high school musicians to their hall for several coaching sessions and rehearsals before performing a concert with them on the Heinz Hall stage. It’s always amazing to watch the impact that the PSO musicians have on the students - as well as the impact the students have on their professional counterparts.
